Dr. Vanaja K has completed her Ph.D in Pharmaceutics from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in 2008 with the Senior Research Fellowship from Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). In 2008, she was awarded DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) fellowship to pursue postdoctoral research at University of Tuebingen, Germany. She was re-invited in May 2012, as a visiting Research Scholar to Institute of Physiology and Institute of Pharmaceutical Technology, University of Tuebingen funded by the Eberhard Karls Universitat, Tuebingen. She has published 20 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and presented 30 research papers at national and international conferences, including 6 book chapters.

Vesitech Research Pvt Ltd again is an early stage spin off company incorporated under the Companies act 2013. The startup was ably supported by Biotechnology Ignition Grant 2015 of Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council, Government of India. Vesitech has developed an affordable elastic liposomal technology that is enable deeper penetration of the drug at the site of application.  The technology is capable of overcoming the side effects associated with conventional preparations of non-steriodal anti-inflammatory drugs. The technology holds great promise to relieve deep seated pain in rheumatoid arthritis and other musculoskeletal disorders. The unique products developed by Vesitech are available for out licensing.
